We examined the effect of KRAS, BRAF, and microsatellite instability (MSI) on LN count and anatomical spread pattern in stage III CC. We determined KRAS, BRAF, and MSI status from stage III CC patients. Biomarker status was correlated with LN count and anatomical spread pattern, which was classified as sequential or skipped. Relapse-free survival (RFS) was estimated using Kaplan-Meier method, and correlations were assessed using log-rank and Cox regression analyses. We analyzed 369 stage III CC patients. The proportion of KRAS mutant (mt), BRAF mt, and MSI-high (H) were 44.2% (163/344), 6.8% (25/344), and 6.8% (25/344), respectively. The mean number of metastatic LN was higher in microsatellite-stable (MSS) compared with MSI patients (3.5 vs. 2.7, P = .0406), although no differences were observed in accordance with KRAS or BRAF status. Interestingly, patients with BRAF mt and MSI-H were less likely to harbor skipped metastatic LN (9.3% vs 20% and 4% vs 10.5% compared with BRAF wild-type (wt) and MSS, respectively), but KRAS status did not predict anatomical spread pattern. Patients with KRAS wt and MSI-H showed superior RFS compared with KRAS mt and MSS patients, respectively, whereas BRAF status did not affect RFS. Differences exist in the anatomical pattern of invaded LN in accordance with the molecular status of stage III CC. In this study, part of the second phase of Air Composition and Reactivity from Outdoor aNd Indoor Mixing campaign (ACRONIM-2), we constructed and deployed an online, continuous, system to measure extracellular gas- and particle-phase ROS during summer in an unoccupied residence in St. Louis, MO, USA. Over a period of one week, we observed that the non-denuded outdoor ROS (representing particle-phase ROS and some gas-phase ROS) concentration ranged from 1 to 4 nmol/m3 (as H2 O2 ). Outdoor concentrations were highest in the afternoon, coincident with peak photochemistry periods. The indoor concentrations of particle-phase ROS were nearly equal to outdoor concentrations, regardless of window-opening status or air exchange rates. The indoor/outdoor ratio of non-denuded ROS (I/OROS ) was significantly less than 1 with windows open and even lower with windows closed. Combined, these observations suggest that gas-phase ROS are efficiently removed by interior building surfaces and that there may be an indoor source of particle-phase ROS.

Electronic databases were systematically searched to locate studies with the terms values-based, authentic, servant and congruent leadership. The literature was assessed with the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tools and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analysis approach and a thematic analysis.
Existing evidence focuses on specific perspectives within three dominant leadership approaches under the umbrella of values-based leadership authentic, servant and congruent leadership. Limited literature suggests that values-based leadership can support professional collaboration, enhanced trust and voice for nurses, support for staff well-being, empowerment, job satisfaction, patient-focused outcomes and quality care.
A dearth of empirical literature concerning values-based leadership and nursing exists. Evidence suggests that authentic, servant and congruent leadership correlate with values-based leadership theories and core nursing values.
Nurse managers should recognize the potential benefits of a values-based leadership approach for staff well-being, enhanced professional collaboration and the nurses voice, improved insight into clinical leadership attributes and improvements in quality patient care.

In addition to their catalytic domains, ADAMTS proteases contain ancillary domains, which mediate substrate recognition and ECM binding and confer distinctive properties and roles to individual ADAMTS proteases. Although alternative splicing can greatly expand the structural and functional diversity of ADAMTS proteases, it has been infrequently reported and functional consequences have been rarely investigated. Here, we characterize the structural and functional impact of alternative splicing of ADAMTS17, mutations in which cause Weill-Marchesani syndrome 4. Two novel ADAMTS17 splice variants, ADAMTS17A and ADAMTS17B, were investigated by structural modeling, mass spectrometry, and biochemical approaches. Our results identify a novel disulfide-bridged insertion in the ADAMTS17A spacer that originates from inclusion of a novel exon. This insertion results in differential autoproteolysis of ADAMTS17, and thus, predicts altered proteolytic activity against other substrates.
