By means of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), we meticulously monitored the in situ degradation of methylene blue (MB) on the liquid-liquid interface (LLI) of bimetallic gold core-silver shell nanoparticles (Au@AgNPs). A remarkable level of SERS enhancement and exceptional catalytic activity is seen in the optimized LLI-based Au50@Ag10NPs bimetallic array. Results demonstrated a detection limit of 1 ppb for MB, and a remarkable 852% degradation rate of Au@AgNPs in 30 seconds, directly owing to the excellent self-healing properties exhibited by the nanoarrays. The LLI bimetallic array, a practical SERS analytical tool, was used for the detection of minute amounts of harmful dyes like Rhodamine 6G (R6G) and crystal violet (CV) in pure or complex environments. Non-invasive treatments often prove effective for addressing gastric reactive hyperplasia (RH), a common benign gastric mucosal lesion, thereby avoiding the necessity of an endoscopic procedure. Endoscopic identification of some RH lesions can be challenging as they may mimic low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (LGIN) lesions of the gastric mucosa. Under magnifying endoscopy with narrow-band imaging (ME-NBI), this study investigated the morphological features of RH lesions.

Patients with involutional lower eyelid entropion, either primary or secondary in nature, were included in a prospective comparative study conducted at Tanta University Eye Hospital’s outpatient clinic. The study encompassed 56 patients (69 eyelids). Within Group A, 42 eyelids displaying significant horizontal lid laxity (pinch test >80mm), underwent a combined surgical technique. This included tarsectomy of a triangle with its base positioned down, and tightening of the orbicularis muscle horizontally. Twenty-seven individuals in Group B, presenting with excessive horizontal lid laxity, as evidenced by a pinch test score below 80mm, underwent surgical vertical tightening of the orbicularis muscle. A comprehensive follow-up of patients, alongside satisfaction surveys, was administered, spanning up to 12 months.
