23, 95% CI 1.04-1.45) while uncertainty about the role of aspirin for individual use and in the community was negatively associated with aspirin use (adjusted linear risk ratio 0.85, 95% CI 0.70-1.03). This growing population may benefit from health education about CVD risk and the role of aspirin in prevention.Increased photosynthetic efficiencies in genotypes with greater proline level and in crops treated with proline under water deficit have been reported in recent years, but the biochemical and molecular mechanisms of this process are still not known. We examined photosystem II (PSII) activity, photosynthetic enzymes, ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (rubisco), phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPc), rubisco activase (RCA), and chlorophyll metabolic enzymes, magnesium chelatase (Mg-CHLI), and chlorophyllase (Chlase), which would be the primary targets of exogenous proline to provide photosynthetic protection to plants under PEG-induced short-term water deficit. Two maize genotypes W23/M14 with greater proline content and Şafak with low proline content were hydroponically grown for 21-23 days, and then the seedlings were subjected to water deficit (- 0.75 MPa) induced by PEG6000 for 0, 4, and 8 h. Before the seedlings were exposed to the water deficit, proline (1 mM) was applied to the rooting medium of the Şafak genotype for 2 days. see more The time course effects of the applications showed that exogenous proline significantly enhanced PSII efficiency, PEPc activity, rubisco activity, and the relative expression levels of PEPc, rubisco large subunit, rubisco small subunit, and RCA genes at 0, 4, and 8 h. The W23/M14 genotype had higher rubisco quantity than the Şafak genotype at all time periods. Proline pre-treatment under the stress-free and PEG conditions reduced the activity of Chlase and the gene expressions of Chlase, while it enhanced Mg-CHLI gene expression at 0, 4, and 8 h. Taken together, the results indicated that the primary target of proline-stimulated signaling in maize seedlings exposed to short-term severe water deficit may be to induce PSII efficiency, activities of carbon dioxide fixation enzymes and chlorophyll metabolism and mitigate chlorophyll degradation. There has been a recent shift from person-first to identity-first language to describe autism. In this study, Australian adults who reported having a diagnosis of autism (N = 198) rated and ranked autism-terms for preference and offensiveness, and explained their choice in free-text. ‘Autistic’, ‘Person on the Autism Spectrum’, and ‘Autistic Person’ were rated most preferred and least offensive overall. Ranked-means showed ‘person on the autism spectrum’ was the most preferred term overall. Six qualitative themes reflected (1) autism as core to, or (2) part of one’s identity, (3) ‘spectrum’ reflecting diversity, (4) the rejection of stigmatising and (5) medicalised language, and (6) pragmatics. These findings highlight the importance of inclusive dialogue regarding individual language preference. This study investigated whether a brief parent-mediated intervention would increase the frequency of question asking in children with ASD. Mothers participated in a 3-week training consisting of 2-h sessions twice weekly. Data were collected in the context of concurrent multiple baseline design. Results demonstrate all three children increased frequency of question asking with two children maintaining gains. All three children demonstrated generalization of question asking to novel items, family members, and/or settings. Affect improved for two of the three children. Overall, mothers were able to reach Fidelity of Implementation during most sessions and rated the intervention as highly acceptable. Results are discussed in regard to the feasibility of providing a short-term parent-implemented intervention to increase social initiations through question asking.Dental care received by children in the Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network (ATN) was compared to National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) data for children without special healthcare needs and children with parent-reported ASD. Correlates of obtained preventive dental services were examined within the ATN sample. Participants included 375 families of children ages 4 to 17 enrolled in the ATN. ATN families reported levels of preventive dental care that were similar to, or exceeded, NSCH-reported care. However, disparities in obtained preventive dental services emerged within the ATN sample. Lower intellectual functioning was the most consistent correlate of reduced access to and completion of preventive dental care. Implications for developing system-wide supports and targeted interventions are discussed.BACKGROUND Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) ligand PET/CT has already provided promising results in prostate cancer (PC) imaging, yet simple and reproductible reporting criteria are still lacking. This study aimed at retrospectively evaluating interobserver agreement of Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT images interpretation according to PC molecular imaging standardized evaluation (PROMISE) criteria and reproducibility of PSMA reporting and data systems (RADS). METHODS Forty-three patients with newly diagnosed, histologically proven intermediate- or high-risk PC, eligible for radical prostatectomy and who underwent Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT before surgery were retrospectively included. Three nuclear medicine physicians (2 experienced and 1 resident) independently reviewed PET/CT images. Interpretation of Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT images was based on PROMISE criteria including miTNM staging and lesions miPSMA expression score visual estimation and PSMA-RADS version 1.0 for a given scan. Readers’ agreement was measured using Krippendorff’s coefficients RESULTS Agreement between observers was almost perfect (coefficient ≥ 0.81) for miM; it was substantial (coefficient ≥ 0.61) for the following criteria miT, miN, PSMA-RADS, and miPSMA expression score of primary PC lesion and metastases. However, agreement was moderate (coefficient = 0.41-0.60) for miPSMA score of positive lymph nodes and for detection of PC primary lesion. CONCLUSION Visual interpretation of Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT images in patients with newly diagnosed PC in a clinical setting leads to at least substantial agreement for PROMISE criteria and PSMA-RADS classification except for PC primary lesion detection and for miPSMA expression scoring of positive lymph nodes that might have been hampered by the interindividual variability of reference organs PSMA expression.
