    We aimed to investigate the topographic correspondence between deep-layer microvasculature dropout (MvD) and retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) defects in eyes with open-angle glaucoma (OAG) using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A).

    Microvasculature dropout width and location were determined using OCT-A, RNFL thickness, RNFL defect width and location were revealed using SD-OCT. The association between MvD and RNFL widths and that between the location of the MvD and RNFL defects were investigated. In addition, patients with OAG were divided into two groups the RNFL defect in one hemiretina (RNFLD-HR) group (n=24 eyes) and the RNFL defects in both hemiretinas (RNFLD-BR) group (n=25 eyes). The presence, width and location of MvDs were compared between the two groups.

    Forty-nine eyes were included. In 24 RNFLD-HR eyes, all MvDs were found in the inferior area, corresponding with the location of the RNFL defect. Meanwhile, in 25 RNFLD-BR eyes, 18 MvDs (72%) were found in the inferior hemiretina, two (8%) were found in the superior hemiretina, and five (20%) were found in both hemiretinas. In RNFLD-BR eyes, the average RNFL thickness was thinner in a location with MvD than a location without MvD.

    Considering that MvD is only observed at the location of the RNFL defect in RNFLD-HR eyes and is usually found in the location of more severe RNFL defects in RNFLD-BR eyes, MvD seems to be a sign that accompanies glaucomatous damage in OAG eyes.

Correlation of expression and prognosis for mRNAs, miRNAs, and lncRNAs were confirmed by TCGA, Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2 (GEPIA 2), stad/SOBP axis in the development and prognosis of OC, and the triple subnetwork probably affects the progression of the OC by regulating the cytokines pathway.

    Fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) is the greatest unmet psychosocial need among breast cancer survivors (BCS). The Oncotype Dx® test predicts the 10-year risk of distant recurrence and benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy among women with early stage hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Despite the test’s clinical utility, psychosocial responses are poorly understood.

    A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to explore associations between Oncotype Dx® test results (Recurrence Score ) and FCR, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), distress, anxiety, depression, illness representation and perceived risk. Bivariate analyses were used to examine the associations between variables followed by multiple linear regression to examine predictors of FCR.

    Greater FCR was associated with higher distress, anxiety, depression, illness representation and poorer HRQOL. BCS’s with a high Oncotype Dx® RS reported higher overall fear (p=0.013) and greater perceived consequences of their cancer (p=0.034) compalts and age. Further research is needed to develop personalized interventions to improve BCS’s outcomes.With continued growth in the demand for nursing care, many organizations have incorporated nursing assistants into the acute care workforce. However, role descriptions are often generic and do not provide clarity in specialist areas such as mental health inpatient settings. Issues have been noted regarding the role of assistants, delegation, and their integration with the nursing team. This study extended an existing set of care activities and explored the perceptions of nursing assistants and registered nurses regarding these activities. A modified Delphi approach added 14 new care activities for nursing assistants. A follow-up survey found significant differences between nursing assistants and registered nurses regarding utilization of the activities, delegation, teamwork, and role clarity. Future research must incorporate the perspectives of those with lived experience of mental health issues, and develop an understanding of the interactions between nursing assistant care activities and other factors such as local supports, skillmix, and the practice environment, as these may impact how an organization can introduce nursing assistants to specialty areas while maintaining consumer and staff safety.

    To identify the role of physical prehabilitation (PP) in liver regeneration, mitochondrial function, biogenesis, and inflammatory response was investigated after associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) in a rodent model.

    Male Wistar rats (n=60) underwent ALPPS. Animals were divided (n=30) to the physical prehabilitation group (PP) and sedentary group (S). The animals were exsanguinated before (0hour) and 24, 48, 72, or 168hours after the operation. Regeneration rate and proliferation index were assessed. Mitochondrial function, biogenesis, and inflammatory response were evaluated.

    Regeneration rate and Ki67 index were significantly increased in the PP group compared to the S group (P<.001). Due to the changes in oxidative capacity and ATP production rate, the P/O ratio of PP group compared to the S group was significantly increased (P<.05). PR619 PP group was characterized by accelerated mitochondrial biogenesis and less intense inflammatory response compared to the S group.
