Digital health technologies show promise in increasing OCD detection and delivery of evidence-based care and in ensuring continuity of care (including during the COVID-19 pandemic).
Given the significant rates of disability, morbidity, and mortality associated with OCD, addressing gaps in OCD care will reduce the U.S. burden of mental illness. Further research is needed to determine how the use of digital health technologies can increase the detection and management of OCD.

Child psychiatry access programs (CPAPs) help increase access to mental health services. This study aimed to provide information on the types of pediatric primary care clinicians (PPCCs) who call Maryland’s CPAP.
Descriptive statistics and multinomial logistic regressions were conducted with data from 676 PPCCs who called Maryland’s CPAP at least once between October 2012 and June 2019.
On average, PPCCs contacted Maryland’s CPAP 6.8 times. Providers who called seven or more times were more likely to have an allopathic or osteopathic medicine degree and to specialize in pediatrics. Providers calling from rural regions were less likely to call only for referrals.
Most PPCCs contacted the CPAP for consultation or referrals but not both. PPCCs in rural areas were more likely to call for consultation, suggesting that they may be more likely to manage the care of patients with mental health conditions themselves, because of a lack of resources in their locations.

We aimed to derive a prognostic model for predicting incomplete recovery at 1-month in emergency department (ED) patients with mTBI and a presenting Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) of 15 who were enrolled in the HeadSMART (Head Injury Serum Markers for Assessing Response to Trauma) study. The derivation cohort included 355 participants with complete follow-up data. The primary outcome measure was the Glasgow Outcome Scale Extended (GOSE) at 1-month and incomplete recovery was defined as a GOSE less then 8. At 1-month post-injury, incomplete recovery was present in 58% (n=205) of participants. The final multivariable logistic regression model included six variables age in years (OR= 0.98; 95% CI 0.97-1.00), positive head CT (OR=4.42; 95% CI 2.21-9.33), history of depression (OR=2.59; 95% CI 1.47-4.69), and self-report of moderate or severe headache (OR=2.49; 95% CI 1.49-4.18), difficulty concentrating (OR=3.17; 95% CI 1.53-7.04), and photophobia (OR=4.17; 95% CI 2.08-8.92) on the day of injury. The model was validated internally using bootstrap resampling (1000 resamples), which revealed a mean over-optimism value of 0.01 and an optimism-corrected area under the curve of 0.79 (95% CI 0.75-0.85). A prognostic model for predicting incomplete recovery among ED patients with mTBI and a presenting GCS of 15 using easily obtainable clinical and demographic variables has acceptable discriminative accuracy. External validation of this model is warranted.Background Numerous studies have revealed the protective role of dietary antioxidants against hypertension and diabetes. In the current systematic review and meta-analysis, we evaluated the possible role of dietary total antioxidant capacity (TAC) against metabolic parameters in the adult population. Methods A literature search of authentic electronic resources including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Sciences, and Cochrane had been performed to retrieve the qualified observational studies that reported the mean plus/minus the SD for the parameter in subjects of the highest versus lowest dietary TAC categories up to July 2020. Results Totally, the number of included studies was 13 for fasting blood sugar (FBS), 12 for systolic blood pressure (SBP), and 12 for diastolic blood pressure (DBP), with the participants’ number of 26349. The results of the current study showed that being at highest category of TAC significantly reduces serum FBS (WMD -2.381; CI -3.445, -1.316; P less then 0.001), SBP (WMD -1.080; CI -1.458, -0.701; P less then 0.001) and DBP (WMD -0.854; CI -1.655, -0.052; P less then 0.001), while no significant difference in the serum insulin, HOMA-IR values, prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) (P=0.37) and hypertension (HTN) (P=0.09) was observed. Piceatannol Subgroup analysis revealed the geographical location, dietary assessment tool, sample size, and gender as possible sources of heterogeneity. Conclusion Higher intake of dietary TAC was associated with reduced SBP, DBP, and FBS in the current observational studies of this meta-analysis. These findings further confirm the clinical importance of dietary antioxidants in the prevention of different metabolic disorders.Objective Incontinence and functional gastrointestinal disorders are common in young children and are associated with higher rates of psychological symptoms and mental disorders. This article focuses on the mutual association between incontinence and related toilet refusal syndrome, parental stress, and children’s psychopathology especially in young children. Methods Children’s psychological symptoms, mental disorders, and parental stress levels were assessed in 38 parent-child dyads involving children with incontinence and 42 dyads of typically developing (TD) children. Results Compared to TD children, patients had higher internalizing and externalizing CBCL scores and higher rates of clinically relevant externalizing problems. However, the rates of clinically relevant internalizing problems and mental disorders did not differ. The parents of children with incontinence reported significantly higher stress levels regarding child-related stress factors (PSI-CD) than did parents of TD children. However, there were no clinically relevant parental stress scores on a group level, which remained below the clinical range (T-value less then 60).
