h X-ray and clinical characteristics, which can provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
To investigate the clinical characteristics of patients with listeriosis and to provide a basis for diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of hospital infection.
A total of 10 inpatients, who suffered from the listeriosis in Xiangya Hospital, Central South University from January 2013 to June 2019, were retrospectively collected for this study. The characteristics of the patients’ age, gander, basic information, case type, clinical manifestations, first consultation department, days of diagnosis, infection indicator, specimen type, results of drug sensitivity, treatment plan, hospital infection or not, outcome, follow-up data were analyzed.
Two cases were pregnant women and other were non-pregnant adults among 10 patients with listeriosis. Among them, there were 3 cases with hospital acquired infection. The age of patient onset was 27-71 years old, and the time from onset to diagnosis was 5-36 days. Five cases had fever, and other 5 cases had not fever. There were headache, fatigue, local pain, anhospital.
To analyze the effect of hyperlipoproteinemia (α) on immediate expansion after coronary stent implantation guided by intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
A total of 160 patients (175 lesions) with coronary heart disease diagnosed by coronary artery angiography, who were performed percutaneous intervention guided by IVUS in the Department of Cardiology, Third Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, were enrolled retrospectively.According to the concentration of lipoproteina, the patients were divided into 2 groups a hyperlipoproteinemia (α) group and a control group. Cardiac ejection fraction was measured with echocardiography. Logistic regression was used to analyze the influential factors for hyperlipoproteinemia (α). The target vessel was examined by IVUS to analyze the immediate expansion effect of hyperlipoproteinemia (α) after stent implantation.
The mean stent expansion index, lesion length, stent number, stent symmetry index and posterior balloon diameter were (94.73±18.9)%, (52.92±29.1) mm, (2.11±0.85), (83.62±13.07)%, and (9.46±2.00) mm in the hyperlipoproteinemia (α) group, respectively. Compared with the control group, there were significantly difference (all
<0.05). Multivariable regression analysis showed that the decreased creatinine clearance rate was an independent risk factor for hyperlipoproteinemia (α) (
<0.05).
Hyperlipoproteinemia (α) appears to be a predictor of stent underexpansion, and the decreased creatinine clearance rate is an independent risk factor for hyperlipoproteinemia (α).

To comprehensively analyze the characteristics of cognitive impairment of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), and to explore the effects of different lateral patients’ cognitive impairment and different clinical factors on cognitive impairment of TLE.
A total of 84 patients, who met the diagnostic criteria for TLE in the Department of Neurology, Xiangya Hospital, were collected as a patient group, with 36 cases of left TLE and 48 cases of right TLE. A total of 79 healthy volunteers with matching gender, age and education level were selected as a control group. The Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), and the scores of Arithmetic Test, Information Test, Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST), Block Design Test (BDT), Hayling Test and Verbal Fluency Test (VFT) of the revised Chinese Adult Wechsler Intelligence scale were retrospectively analyzed in the 2 groups.Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the clinical factors and the cognitive imp-term memory, long-term memory, attention, working memory, executive function and visual space function. Left TLE has greater impairment of executive function and right TLE has greater damage in working memory. Long pathography of disease, hippocampal sclerosis and a history of febrile convulsions may lead to more severe cognitive impairment. Earlier identification and earlier intervention are needed to improve prognosis of patients.
There are multiple cognitive domain dysfunctions in TLE, including language, short-term memory, long-term memory, attention, working memory, executive function and visual space function. Left TLE has greater impairment of executive function and right TLE has greater damage in working memory. Long pathography of disease, hippocampal sclerosis and a history of febrile convulsions may lead to more severe cognitive impairment. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a kind of autoimmune inflammatory connective tissue disease which seriously endangers human health. Genetic factors play a key role in the pathogenesis of SLE. This study aims to investigate a novel phospholipase D2 (PLD2) mutation associated with familial SLE, and further explore the underlying mechanism of the mutation in SLE.
The blood samples from a SLE patient, the patient’s parents, and 147 normal controls were collected and DNA was extracted. Whole genome high-throughput sequencing was performed in the patient and her parents and the results were further analyzed by various bioinformatics methods. The wild type (wt), mutant type (mu), and negative control PLD2 plasmids were further constructed and transfected into 293 cells. The expression level of HRAS protein in 293 cells was detected by Western blotting.
In this SLE family, the female SLE patient and her mother, 1 in generation II and 1 in generation III had typical clinical manifestations of SLE, and all of them had lupus nephritis at early stage. selleck chemical The genetic characteristics are consistent with autosomal dominant inheritance. A novel PLD2 heterozygous mutation (c.2722C>T) was found in the patient and her mother, but not in her father and other normal controls. Compared with wtPLD2 plasmid and negative control PLD2 plasmid, the expression of HRAS in 293 cells transfected with muPLD2 plasmid was significantly up-regulated (both
<0.05).
PLD2 c.2722C>T mutation may be one of the pathogeny of SLE in this family.
