This document addresses the care of these patients focusing on 1) the varied clinical presentations; 2) appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) for health care workers; 3) role of the Emergency Department, Emergency Medical System and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; and 4) Regional STEMI systems of care. White-eyes (Zosterops) are a hyper-diverse genus of passerine birds that have rapidly radiated across the Afrotropics and Southeast Asia. Despite their broad range, a disproportionately large number of species are currently recognised from islands compared to the mainland. Described species-level diversity of this ‘great speciator’ from continental Africa-Arabia is strikingly low, despite the vast size and environmental complexity of this region. However, efforts to identify natural groups using traditional approaches have been hindered by the remarkably uniform morphology and plumage of these birds. Here, we investigated the phylogenetic relationships and systematics of Afrotropical Zosterops, including the Gulf of Guinea and western Indian Ocean islands. We included exceptional sampling (∼160 individuals) from all except one subspecies of the 54 taxa (31 species, plus 22 additional named sub-species) currently recognized throughout the region, in addition to a subset of extra-Afrotropical taxa, by exploiting blood and archival samples. Employing a multi-locus phylogenetic approach and applying quantitative species delimitation we tested 1) if there has been a single colonisation event of the Afrotropical realm; 2) if constituent mainland and island birds are monophyletic; and 3) if mainland diversity has been underestimated. Our comprehensive regional phylogeny revealed a single recent colonisation of the Afrotropical realm c.1.30 Ma from Asia, but a subsequent complex colonisation history between constituent island and mainland lineages during their radiation across this vast area. Our findings suggest a significant previous underestimation of continental species diversity and, based on this, we propose a revised taxonomy. Our study highlights the need to densely sample species diversity across ranges, providing key findings for future conservation assessments and establishing a robust framework for evolutionary studies. Intestinal or mesenteric ischemia generally leads to inflammation and injury, potentially developing hypoxia, causing cell death and tissue necrosis. This in turn can lead to sepsis and shock. Conversely, following shock, the intestinal tract is a main organ to experience ischemic/reperfusion injury. Increased intestinal cell-membrane permeability through mesenteric ischemia provoking bacterial translocation and gut-barrier injury can lead to sepsis and multi-organ failure. Hypotension induced by systemic vasodilation and vascular leak in systemic inflammatory response syndrome and sepsis is countered by immediate fluid resuscitation and vasopressor administration, primarily norepinephrine (NE), with possible arginine vasopressin (AVP) supplementation, an agonist of vasopressin V1A and V2receptors. Selepressin is a selective V1A-receptor agonist, avoiding potential V2receptor-associated adverse effects. Selepressin, non-selective AVP, and NE effects on mesenteric blood flow (MBF) and gastric mucosa perfusion (GMP) were compared in control rabbits and a lipopolysaccharide-induced, fluid-resuscitated rabbit endotoxemia model. AVP induced a pronounced decrease in MBF and GMP in non-endotoxemic and endotoxemic rabbits, whereas the reduction after selepressin treatment was significantly less for both indicators in the endotoxemic animals. By contrast, NE increased the MBF and did not affect GMP in both groups. Selepressin and AVP induced a pronounced dose-dependent increase in mesenteric vascular resistance in non-endotoxemic and endotoxemic rabbits, tending to be less in endotoxemic animals, whereas a minor increase in both groups was observed with NE. Therefore, in this safety study, the risk for mesenteric ischemia on selepressin treatment was not inferior to AVP, being less in endotoxemic than in non-endotoxemic animals. Prior work has yielded contradictory findings regarding the association between depression and the error-related negativity (ERN), an event-related potential thought to reflect individual variation in sensitivity to internal threat (i.e., errors), and the error positivity (Pe), which is thought to reflect more elaborative, conscious processing of errors. One possibility is that variation in transdiagnostic dimensional constructs related to threat processing might help explain inconsistencies in the relationship between depression and the ERN and Pe. Here, we used a large, unselected sample (N = 100) to determine whether variation in intolerance of uncertainty (IU), a transdiagnostic trait dimension that is implicated in both depression and anxiety, might moderate associations between depressive symptomatology and error processing. Results showed that greater levels of depressive symptomatology were associated with larger ΔERNs (error minus correct trials) when IU was low, but were unrelated to ΔERN when IU was high; main effects of depression and IU on ΔERN were not observed. The Pe was not associated with IU or depression. Additionally, IU, but not depression, was associated with faster response times on error and correct trials. Overall, results suggest that error processing may differ for individuals with elevated depression with versus without elevated IU. Moreover, prior failures to observe associations between depression and the ERN might stem from failure to account for related transdiagnostic constructs. V.OBJECTIVE Survival rate of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) patients is not improving. To understand more complete biology of LSCC, studies focused on identification of new specific and prognostic markers are performed. The aim of current study was to evaluate the impact of five different single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) (IL6 rs1800795, BLK rs13277113, TIMP3 rs9621532, IL1RL1 rs1041973 and IL1RAP rs4624606) on LSCC development. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 891 subjects (353 histologically verified LSCC patients and 538 healthy controls) were involved in this study. The genotyping was carried out using the real-time-PCR. RESULTS Statistical analysis revealed statistically significant associations between TIMP3 rs96215332 variants and LSCC in the codominant (OR = 0.600; 95% CI 0.390-0.922; p = 0.020), overdominant (OR = 0.599; 95% CI 0.390-0.922; p = 0.020) and additive (OR = 0.675; 95% CI 0.459-0.991; p = 0.045) models. Also, significant variants of IL1RAP rs4624606 were determined in the codominant (OR = 1.
