An intra-pancreatic microbiota was recently discovered in several prominent studies. Since pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) is one of the most lethal cancers worldwide, and the intratumor microbiome was found to be a significant contributor to carcinogenesis in other cancers, this study aims to characterize the PAAD microbiome and elucidate how it may be associated with PAAD prognosis. We further explored the association between the intra-pancreatic microbiome and smoking and gender, which are both risk factors for PAAD. RNA-sequencing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) were used to infer microbial abundance, which was correlated to clinical variables and to cancer and immune-associated gene expression, to determine how microbes may contribute to cancer progression. We discovered that the presence of several bacteria species within PAAD tumors is linked to metastasis and immune suppression. This is the first large-scale study to report microbiome-immune correlations in human pancreatic cancer samples. Furthermore, we found that the increased prevalence and poorer prognosis of PAAD in males and smokers are linked to the presence of potentially cancer-promoting or immune-inhibiting microbes. Further study into the roles of these microbes in PAAD is imperative for understanding how a pro-tumor microenvironment may be treated to limit cancer progression.Water, energy, and food, as the basic material resources of human production and life, play a prominent role in social and economic development. As the imbalance between the supply and demand of water, energy, and food increases, a highly sensitive and fragile relationship gradually forms among water, energy, and food. In this paper, Inner Mongolia in China is selected as a research area. Firstly, synergy theory is applied to establish the framework of a water-energy-food system. Then, a multi-objective programming model is constructed, where the objective functions are defined to minimize the integrated deviation degree and pollutant emissions of the water-energy-food system. Meanwhile, maximization of the water benefit, energy production, and food production is also considered. In addition, the model takes economy, environment, water, energy, and food as constraints. Finally, a genetic algorithm is designed for accurately assessing the most promising results. The results show that the cooperation degree of the water-energy-food system in Inner Mongolia is getting better and better, and the pollutant emission from the water-energy-food system is decreasing. In 2020, the proportion of agricultural water consumption fell by 1%, while that of industrial water consumption rose by 0.48%. The production of coal, natural gas, and power are all showing an increasing trend. Among them, the increase of natural gas production is as high as 38,947,730 tons of standard coal. However, the proportions of coal, natural gas, and power change inconsistently, where the proportions of coal and natural gas increase while that of power decreases. Corn production accounts for more than 80% of the total, which is in the eldest brother position in the food industry structure. One of the factors that can ensure health in humans is regular physical activity. This type of activity can enhance immune function and dramatically prevent the spread of the cytokine response and OS. However, if physical activity is done intensely at irregular intervals, it is not only unhealthy but can also lead to muscle damage, OS, and inflammation. In this review, the response of cytokines and OS to exercise is described. In addition, it is focused predominantly on the role of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) generated from muscle metabolism and damage during exercise and on the modulatory effects of antioxidant supplements. Furthermore, the influence of factors such as age, sex, and type of exercise protocol (volume, duration, and intensity of training) is analyzed. The effect of antioxidant supplements on improving OS and inflammatory cytokines is somewhat ambiguous. More research is needed to understand this issue, considering in greater detail factors such as level of training, health status, age, sex, disease, and type of exercise protocol.Similar to radical-induced cell death 1 (SROs) is a family of small proteins unique to plants. SRO transcription factors play an important role in plants’ response to biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, we identified 12 BrSRO genes in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L.). Among them, a comprehensive overview of the SRO gene family is presented, including physical and chemical characteristics, chromosome locations, phylogenetic analysis, gene structures, motif analysis, and cis-element analyses. The number of amino acids of BrSRO genes is between 77-779 aa, isoelectric point changed from 6.02 to 9.6. Of the 12 BrSRO genes, 11 were randomly distributed along the 7 chromosomes, while BrSRO12 was located along unassigned scaffolds. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the SRO proteins from six species, including Arabidopsis, banana, rice, Solanum lycopersicum, Zea mays, and Chinese cabbage were divided into eleven groups. The exon-rich BrSRO6 and BrSRO12 containing 15 exons were clustered to group K. All 12 genes have motif 2, which indicate that motif 2 is a relatively conservative motif. There are many hormone and stress response elements in BrSRO genes. The relative expression levels of 12 BrSRO genes under high temperature, drought, salt, and low temperature conditions were analyzed by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. The results indicated the relative expression level of BrSRO8 was significantly up-regulated when plants were exposed to high temperature. The relative expression levels of BrSRO1, 3, 7, 8, and 9 were higher under low temperature treatment. The up-regulated genes response to drought and salt stresses were BrSRO1, 5, 9 and BrSRO1, 8, respectively. These results indicated that these genes have certain responses to different abiotic stresses. This work has provided a foundation for further functional analyses of SRO genes in Chinese cabbage.
